I am looking to add a slide protection. In this protection we want to go split backs. The HB will have a free release. The FB and TE will checking on the same side and then releasing. With the Line sliding away from the call (Slide Rt/ Slide Lt) who should everyone be responsible for?

Coach if I could make a recommendation here because I'm very involved in pass protection schemes, would you consider building you slide off the BOB principle. Coach CAmpbell
We've used a semi-slide protection. The Playside Tackle has the man on or outside (4i to 9), the playside guard has the man on (2i to 3) to turnback to help on a 0, 1 or LB. The center, backside guard and backside tackle have similar rules (man on, turnback help). The playside back has the playside/middle backer to outside backer/edge blitzer. If both come, QB must throw to the hot receiver running into the vacated box.

The slide is usually dictated by wheither or not your using a additional back in the backfield to help. Example would be if the back protects to the right then the offensive line will slide their protection the opposite direction. Coach CAmpbell
We are a one back set team (Spread Option). Base formation is a double slot. Like to use various formations along with the double slot formation. Formations-Trips/Split, Twins/Twins, Pro/Slot, Slot/Twins along with others.
Question:
So if we use a one back set, does the offensive line slide to the playside of the pass play called and fullback away. Want to use slide protection on three step drop.
Any other suggesstions would be great.
Also if you can help with any pass protection schemes for the 5 step, sprint out, using one back sets.

A slide can be a full slide all the way down to a one man slide vs uncovered. Build the scheme of the BOB principles. If you keep one back in on protection he can follow the call made in the huddle with any uncovered lineman sliding away from the back. Coach CAmpbell
