Coach,
I have 30 stack playbook and it has really helped me put in the defense this year. We play a team in the quarterfinals that is a shotgun 2 back offense that runs a lot of load option. It has me worried about defending it. I was wondering if you have any suggestions. Their qb likes to keep the ball but will pitch occassionally. They run mostly slot to one side and te to the other. The load option to the te side is what bothers me. We use a base rule of DE to QB and Bandit(Spur) to pitch with the free running the alley qb to pitch. This works fine with dive option but we struggle with load option. Any suggestions would help.

Coach what causes the load option the most trouble is when you can play a 3 tech. on the guard and an inside shade to the TE. This causes them to single block some one and thats what causes the most problems playside with this. If running the Stack you may consider a head up 4 tech. on the tackle with them playing some type of slanting game. Coach campbell
