Coaches I have published the Installation of The Pistol Offense and Will be available in approx. 2 weeks. This is an exciting offense made popular by Nevada Reno. Lets discuss the pros and cons.
I have recently seen a team run this offense and was quite impressed. I would really like to read what you have put together. Can you comment on where it might be available?
We went to the pistol offense this year and hear are the main reasons why.
1.) allows you to maintain regular 2 back I formation offense, meaning still get downhill I formation offense. But don't have to teach the QB new set of skills to play under center.
2.) allows offensive line to be a little softer up front. Can allow a little more penetration by the D-line and not have to worry about the DL getting to the QB
3.) can run zone read and check to any techinque on the DL you want without having to flip the backs
4.) allows you to reverse out on both inside and outside zone plays giving you the ability to hide the football. Similar to the wing-t.
5.) QB is downhill on speed option.
The pistol is a great offensive set gives you the best of both the gun and being undercenter. The one thing that we need to work on is the zone read from the pistol if anyone has any tips on running the zone read out of the pistol I would love to hear them.
is the Installation of The Pistol Offense available yet? I dont'
have much cash right now, with Christmas and all, but I would be willing to trade for it. Thanks.
If you are interested in any of my pistol stuff just e-mail me. Please put Pistol Offense in the Subject line. Coach_Brett@comcast.net

If guns kill people, then I can blame my pencil for misspelled words?
No coach I am in central florida. I bought some of your books at the Mega Clinic in Tampa Florida a few years ago. Unfortunatley not many people went so they never have come back. I wish the mega clinic would try and come back to florida closer to central florida. I really enjoyed your books I bought.
We had a teamin our leauge run it this year (Canadian football) it was a deadly offence, they had a dynamtie rb and a smart qb. It posed a lot of issues especialy in the red zone.
Can't wait to check it out should help me scheme for them next season.
Coach did you notice that Florida lined up in the Pistol and ran their regular offense, lead option and shuffle pass. I look forward to seeing your new manual, thanks.
I did notice while watching Florida vs Alabama that much of their offense was run from the pistol. Was that something new or have they been doing that all season?

CYFL Coach I truely think that is pretty new, I know that some colleges sent their staffs into Reno to visit with the UNR staff last Spring and wouldn't be suprised if Forida wasn't one of them. It should be fun to see what they come up with this Thursday.

If you go to my on line store you will locate my new manual on the pistol complete with the running game and the passing game. Has been one of my my popular manuals to date. Coach Campbell
Don't be surprised if the Arkansas lines up in the pistol, they just hired the OC from the University of Nevada to be their OL coach. It could be interesting.
Coach I thinks Chris will add awhole new element to the Arkansas offense, it should be very exciting. I think Nevas will truly miss him and what he added to the program as the offensive line coach too. A very good man.
