I think there is a big difference...IMO your noseguard has to be a manchild in the 3-4...

we have switched to a 3-4 when we go cover 4 or cover 2...

Switching that way or do you feel it would be harder for the offense to go against multiple fronts 5-2,4-4, 3-5? I have really smart kids but lack real toughness yet.

I think flexibility to do different things is going to make you better as long as you are sound and have the personnel. Offensively, wing t or I teams often go spread as a change of pace or in passing situations - or just having a multiple look is what they want to do, which makes it tougher for the defense to prepare.

We base out of the 3-5 and go 3-4 and 4-4 based on the game plan. We implement these schemes early on in summer and see how far we can go with this philosophy. We go as far as the kids will take it. Once we are confident, we can line up in one look and stem into another look before the snap. We were small and quick defensively and this philosophy allowed us to be better than sitting in our base.

Greendog in my opinion, it is still and odd front....The stack is an inverted odd front, and the 3-4 is a played with a Shelled Coverage...U can still invert your secondary with a 3-4, the difference is where you choose to Align your second level players......:cool;
