Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Coach, we just finished our first season running the 30 stack with reasonably good success. We had 2 poor games aganst smash mouth double tight offenses that found/created huge running lanes up the middle all night. I have seen some commentary on this forum suggesting that Coach Glenn McNew of Morgantown HS West Virginia checks out of this defense against double tight. The same commentary referred to Coach McNew as a 3 5 3 guru. I am more inclined to change the front and stress technique with the mac, sam and wil lb's.. We kept our d ends in a 5 technique as per a number of programs I looked at, eg John Rice in LA and Thomas Cousins in Fla.
I would appreciate your thoughts. I have Coach Campbells 30 Stack Playbook and plan to run different fronts next year, especially against the one wing t offense in our division.
However, if one was to check out of the 3 man front, does it make sense to go to a 5-3 against the double tight run all night type of offense?
