Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I have respected so much that I have read on this forum that I have to post this out there for all of you to consider.
I will have 3 returning DL (4 man front) that will be seniors and one new DT that will be a junior. They understand the tradition of our program and what I have been able to do in the past as our DC.
Being told what has been in the past and working to become part of that legacy are two different things in the mind of some of our kids.
Here is what I would like each of you to consider: they have been told by me that the last time we reached the state championship game here in IL(2003), we had a DL that allowed me to do so much more with the guys behind them. We dominated our opponents on defense! The guys behind them now are flat out workers...tell them in your own way, AS YOU WOULD BE SPEAKING TO THEM, the importance of a dominant group of down lineman to the success of a football team.
They have heard it enough from me and our HC...I want them to hear it from others!!!
I suggest you sit down with those five and show them some tape from your championship season. If you can, don't just tell them what you expect, how they are in a position to impact the upcoming season etc. show them. "A picture is worth a thousand words" or whatever the saying is.
