I want to run the jet sweep from the double wing (apparently a popular idea lately - looking at internet message boards). According to most guys, you don’t have to block B gap & in. Well, with our toe-to-toe splits, I wondered if we could get by with not blocking C gap & in (I measured it off - our C gap is about the same as everyone else’s B gap). I asked Coach Klausing - the jet guru - about this and he said to try it and see. Here’s my question. If I find that we CAN get by with not blocking C gap & in, how should I block it ? Wyatt’s double wing playbook mentions * everyone reaching * pulling one or two guards * pulling playside tackle * pulling a tight end. A guy I know suggested blocking down with the wing, folding the tight end around to hook/cut the DE or OLB, and pulling the tackle for the corner. What do you think? Thanks.
