Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Our HC resigned and we will be looking for a new HC and I want to stay in the program. What do new coaches coming in look at? I am young and enthusiastic and want to see our 5 year old program learn to succeed. How do I position myself to stay?
I HAVE BEEN A HC FOR A LOT OF YEARS AND WHAT MOST COACHES I KNOW LOOK FOR FIRST AND FOREMOST IS LOYALTY TO THEM AND TO THEIR PROGRAM. I WOULD SUGGEST THAT YOU SCHEDULE YOURSELF TO SIT DOWN WITH THE NEW COACH AND JUST LAY IT ON THE LINE: THAT YOU CERTAINLY WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE WITH THE PROGRAM THAT YOU HAVE 5 YEARS INVESTED IN, THAT YOU ARE THERE TO MAKE YOURSELF AN INVALUABLE PART OF THE STAFF, THAT YOU ARE TO BE COUNTED ON 100% TO SUPPORT HIM AND HIS PHILOSOPHY (AS LONG AS HE DESERVES IT) AND WILL DO ALL YOU POSSIBLY CAN TO HELP HIM BUILD A WINNING PROGRAM.
Don't come across as a suck up, but rather a man who is very sincere in what you are saying. Just be youself and it will be be evident that you mean what you say. Tell him that you are not a YES MAN, but would like to know that your input will be valued as a position coach (with the understanding that HE has the final say of course). Let him know that you blend well with other staff members and are there to enhance the playing experience and the becoming of young men of the athletes.
I believe that if you do these things, any coach in his right mind would be glad to have you on staff.
