Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Can anyone give me their thoughts on the fly? I play for a women's team that is undersized and underexperienced. We lost our coaching staff and are trying to find an easy to install offense that will compliment our team. We have several strong running backs and no established QB. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have coached against a team who runs a pro-set fly system based on what is run by coach Speckman at Willamette University in Oregon. It is a pain in the rear if you have some speed. However, it is something where your QB has to be a player. The offense can be stopped if the timing is off or if there is not a threat of a passing game--both of which are on the QB's shoulders. It is highly effective if you understand how and when to call the plays. Coach Speckman is a fly guru. He has a camp each summer at Willamette. It is one of those offenses where there seems to be a counter everwhere and it really attacks the edges of the defense well.

There is nothing that will show a man's true character like the 2 yard line.
Sounds to me like you need to locate a coach and a QB PRIOR to deciding on an offense to run. In what state do you play? Without a coach, you will have no direction and believe me football is not a game that you run by committee. Without someone to make final decisions, you will end up by arguing, bickering, etc. and fall apart at the seams. You may not think so now, but believe me that is what will happen. Why not run an add in your local paper for a few coaches, and an EXPERIENCED QB? OR YOU MAY HAVE TO BRING SOMEONE INTO YOUR TOWN. But, do yourself a favor and don't try to play without a coach. Just a suggestion as always.

Thanks for the info coach... We would love to have a coach sooner rather than later but we also can't wait. Our season will start soon and need to be ready. We have been focusing on fundamentals. We figure we need to have some plan and teach the basics of football so that when we get coaches they do't have to start from nothing....
DO YOU NOT HAVE AN OWNER OF THE TEAM? IT SHOULD BE HIS RESPONSIBILITY TO GET YOU SOME COACHES! IS THIS TEAM JUST MORE OR LESS SAND LOT CALIBER (NO OFFENSE INTENDED) OR ARE YOU IN AN ORGANIZED LEAGUE? IF IT IS AN ORGANIZED LEAGUE, HOW DO THEY ALLOW YOU TO COMPETE WITHOUT A COACHING STAFF?

Hey coach, this is a long story but we are a player owned team. We have made our league board aware of our situation and they are also working to help us find a staff.
