Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Coaches,
This past weekend I saw Andrew Coverdale speak about the boot/naked game. He had a interesting concept on backside routes. With the #2 backside man running a 12-14 drag, the #1 backside runs what he calls a B Line Post. The WR runs hard to a spot over the same side B Gap at a depth off 15 yards, at that point he burst upfield for 5 yards and then snaps to a post. The FS is put in a tremendous bind and the Qb has a simple read on the backside. #1 route makes it very tuff for the BSCB to cover him. This little adjustment in route running looks to be a outsanding way to open up the backside on PAP.

Sounds good, wonder how many high school level lines can hold the rush out long enough for the WR to run a 3 move route as described? If the QB is mobile and can throw on the run, but if he is a slow footed guy would not give it much of a chance from the gun. Coach Coverdale knows his stuff and I'm sure he has an answer for my concern.
