What do you try to accomplish during Spring Practice from an offensive standpoint. How much time is spent on fundamentals and how much time is actually spent putting in your offense. On average do you also work the same format with your defense?

IF YOU ARE CONTEMPLAITING ANY NEW CHANGES FOR THE OFFENSE, SPRING IS THE TIME TO INIATE IT. THEN, YOU HAVE ALL SUMMER TO WORK ON IT( FUNDAMENTALS). SAME FOR THE DEFENSE. IN ORDER TO SUCCEED IN FOOTBALL IN THIS DISPENSATION, IT HAD BETTTER BE A 12 MONTH OF THE YEAR PURSUIT IF YOU REALLY WANT TO WIN. THE OFF SEASON IS WHEN YOU SEPARATE THE REAL CONTENDERS FROM THE PRETENDERS!!!

It has been my experience that a practice scheduled, broken down into increments from as little as two minutes to 20 minutes for a total of 2 to 2.5 hours are the absolute best. Any more than that, the fatigue factor makes the players start to lose intensity and mentally they start with the mistakes.

We are a very small school and breaking down the practice to get the utmost out of the players without over doing it is very important. Your thoughts are great and I appreciate them.
