Ok, I've been playing a lot more of what I call Cover 4 against spread teams and I want to know how you guys play it. I teach it as true quarters. Meaning that we don't route read like a true Cover 4. My corners play a skinny cover 3 zone. We simply play it like cover 3 but with 4 guys deep. I want to get more aggressive this year. We usally have our hash players be our spurs but if a spur blitzes, our FS replaces. That is our rule for the free safety in cover 4 (replace the zone of the blitzer). So at times he has hook to flat even. How do you guys run it? What role does the FS play? How aggressive are your corners? What depth and what read do the cover guys have? What are your favorite blitzes from the coverage?
