Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
We obviously pass and will run quarterback Iso's if the box empties enough. Usually 4 verticals with one guy running a drag. We may also bring our fullback in motion back into the formation with a pretty fast motion. He may kickout opposite from where he motioned from or wham block a d-lineman. I also like using him as a shovel back in either direction if he has some decent breaks and acceleration.
What I would do is check to Cover 0. Corners take #1, Dogs(spurs) take the tightends, and FS take the Slot.
Then you can do what you want (blitz) with the Linebackers.
Align the Stack Backers on the TE, and Lock up.....Corners will take 1's, and FS will take 2.....The directions will be inside with the D-Line, and the Flanks will be coming off of the edges....Mike spies Qb, while Nose will be a 2 gapper........:beer;
Two gapping the nose is always a winner, I wish more teams would coach up the two gap technique. Many black coaches believe that two-gapping is passive and is a country-boy style of playing defense.
Never five QBs, RBs, TEs, WRs, on the field every play, OFFENSIVE LINEMAN RULE.
