Full "Tight-T" was around over 100 years ago (at the DAWN of the game). Check out book by Michigan Coach Fielding Yost (written atound 1908) & it is in there. Made a comeback in the 1930's as the "BEAR-T" with George Halas (put up 73 points vs. Redskins in Championship game in 1941). Halas wrote a great book on the Tight-T. Knute Rockne lined up in the Full-T & either ran a play from it or shifted to the Notre Dame Box at ND (late 19/teens thru 1930). Frank Leahy wrote a good book about it while at Notre Dame in the 1940's.
"Split-T" invented by Don Faurot at Missouri in EARLY 1940's! You can still get his BOOK on the Split-T. Bud Wilkinson's bok on the Split-T was EXCELLENT!
Emory Bellard installed the "Wishbone" for Royal at Texas! They had a great film out on it.
