Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I just got hired at a large high school in Florida. Spring practice starts in three weeks. I have only been on the job a few days and have yet to meet with the old staff. I don't know who is staying, who is going or who is good. I have guys I want to bring in but they are contracted at their current schools till the end of the year. Do I keep as many coaches from the previous staff as possible? Or just go with a skeleton crew? How do I implement my philosophy and put forth my expectations in that short turnaround?
GET YOUR OWN GUYS IF YOUR ABLE TO DO SO!!! But, don't overlook the previous staff either. Your first order of business should have been the day you took over to interview those guys and see if there are any worth keeping.

Tiger One is absolutely right. It is possible that someone on the old staff wanted the job too and that can create a problem. You are better off interviewing the old staff and be straight forward with them. Tell them exactly what you are going to do and see how they react. If your offense is based on the pass and the coaches have been running the veer, they might not adjust. It is like hitting your head against the wall if they aren't in your corner. You got the job because you where the best candidate, put together your own staff, loyalty is the key.
