Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
We have been running the stack for a few years now and have been fairly succesful, we had a team come into the league that runs unbalanced wishbone option. We tried several things against them but just got torched. We didn't do a terrible job against the option but got torn up by a trap play out of this formation
QB reverse out and hand to rb to short side, fb dive fake to heavy side, option look with heavy side rb.
I'm not too famililiar w/the wishbone so I don't know what this play is called, we watched film and thought we had it figured out, then they blocked it differently up front what seemed like every time they ran it, pulling different guards or even the center. Any suggestions? Anyone have a name for this play aside from the play that went for about 200 total yards against us?
How do you line up against it? Do you spill or box? The team I coach for is a double tight Bone team and we go unbalanced against the stack defense to get a good nose guard off our center. How often do you stunt? Our defense is a 4-3 and we do not see any other double tight option teams thank god. We spill everything. You can email me at Ethangrant04@aol.com (I check that the most) if you have a diagram or can draw a picture of what blocking schemes they are using.
