Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
For you veer guys....what do you do or what is your answer to teams that use a variety of stunts? I know that from being on the defensive side of the ball for several years before being on offense that you disrupt man blocking schemes this way. For example if you were running outside veer to a 2i and a 5 technique and the 5 crashes inside and the 2i loops...what do you do? Does the tackle block the ILB regardless??
Success is peace of mind that is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing that you made the effort to become the best you are capable of becoming<BR> John Wooden
tecmobowl that does create a problem, we'd flex our TE to force the DE to widen out, we did this vs the 3-5 defense and had great success. We'd also go to our Trey formation and widen the TE as well, you could make the TE a hot receiver and hit the dump pass. Why not load the speed option and crash down on the 2i technique. The weakside is also available. Hope I answered your question.

Because of moving and stunting fronts thats why alot of teams have gone to the zone concept of tracking defensive fronts. The biggest chance with blocking schemes was the 1985 rule change that allowed O-Line to use their hands in advance of the body. Coach CAmpbell

With the gun option read and using slots teach them how to cowboy into pitch relationship if the QB gets the pull read with a one back set. Coach Campbell
I would think that the outside veer would be open if you can seal the inside and then have one of the receivers or the RB do the cowboy motion. We run a trey set where we keep the TE home so he can help us, then we yo-yo motion the other RB and run the outside veer. I hope this helps.
