Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
We play a wing t team this season and we run a 3-5 defense. Their main formation is a tightend and wing on the same side and a split end to the other side. What I was looking at was basically a 53 defense with the front moved over 1 man to the stength. So you would have the nose head up the strongside guard, the tackle head up the tightend, and the dog (spur) head up the wing. One the weakside the tackle would be headup on the weakside guard and the weak dog (spur) shaded outside on the tackle. Linebackers stay the same.
It is basically treating the wing t as an unbalanced look.
What do you all think?
We do the same- we just call it 'Jumbo Strong'. We can also do it in weakside = 'Jumbo weak' just to give a drifferent look or overload's...
This have relly ben good when we wantet to 'overload blitz' or when team's blokked man on man!
