Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
We teach two techniques but the footwork is the same.
1st is a step and rip. If you slant left, you're in a left hand stance. Step 45 degrees with the left foot, then step and rip with the right side of the body, get the shoulders narrow, then square up.
2nd is a club/rip (arm over). If you slant left, you're in a right hand stance. Step 1st with the left foot (45 deg) and club with the left hand (I teach aim for the elbows of the OL). Then step and rip, or arm over, narrow the shoulders and square up.
Flip everything for both techniques to slant right.
SLANTING INSIDE: Align head up. Move on snap of ball. Rip across O-Lineman's face with your backside forearm & put your inside shoulder on the hip of the O-Lineman you are slanting TO!
Our aiming point is the hip of the near lineman if we are slanting inside...We will rip versus pressure...For example, if the offensive tackle blocks down, we will rip versus the pressure that he is giving us....If the offensive guard blocks tries to reach us, we will rip versus his pressure....If our directions send us outside, we will attack the outside shoulder of the offensive tackle.......:evil;
