since you're a pass happy guy who seems to still love option could you share with us your favouite play action pass out of option gun look.i've never had much luck with dropping the QB back after the mesh so that he ends up behind the tackle.never seemed to get the pass off. any other thoughts?or ways of passing out of option look?thanks
doc
I KNOW YOU SAID YOU HAD NO LUCK WITH PULLING UP BEHIND THE TACKLE AND THEN DROPPING, BUT YOU SHOULD COACH YOUR QB UP ON HOW TO GET IT DONE BECAUSE, REALLY, IT IS A GREAT PLAY. AFTER READING YOUR RECEIVERS, YOU STILL HAVE YOUR RB ON A SWING ROUTE TO THE STRONG SIDE AS AN OUTLET!

Lot's of QB's are taught to put the ball behind their back when on the bootleg play action pass. By doing this all your doing is showing the backside of the play away defense that you have the ball. Teach your QB to put the ball BESIDE HIS LEG where it is much less obvious.
