Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Tiger One I appreciate your opinion as always. If we can develop a center then we will just move the QB back and everything else stays the same. One offense, just an adjustment as to where the QB aligns.
Tiger doesn't let u get away with anything swervin MErvin. he's pretty sharp eh!
we are thinking of doing the same thing with our JV's .Split back but hoping to convert to GUN early cause you guys have me sold on gun this year. two good ways to teach the centers the gun snap.the goofy way with the hand on the end of the ball with the nose up actually works really well.i can even do it.with the JV's nice to have the UC option as well and can run alot of the same stuff anyway.i hope i'm not going to look like a fool switching to gun this year but i really liked it in Spring and so did our QB's.

TC don't worry if you willing to spend the time it will be worth it. We worked with the JVs during the summer putting in the splitback and now if we find the center, if not that is OK too.
I think this can be effective, but I can see trouble if you are running much option. I say that simply because the meshpoints (a "four-letter-word" for you Tiger, I know) and the timing is so much different, but if you are trying to focus on iso, sweep, speed option, and the passing game, I think there would be little different other than a few minor timing issues.

There is nothing that will show a man's true character like the 2 yard line.
The way we run the option out of the shotgun and the splitback sets are both the same. The mesh points are not different for either offense. We have started implimenting the splitback on the JV level and so far so good.
