Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
1) Align as you have diagramed with the CB on the TE. If you have a physical corner and/or their TE is not a powerful blocker you will be fine. Note: Some teams will just have their SE align tight, if so no mismatch there.
2) Sub in a LB or SS type for a CB if they sub in a second TE.
3) Align the DE in a 5 or 7 and have the CB play a 9 (or 90). If in man, CB can play TE in man OR CB can rush off the edge, WLB has TE and CB peels off if a RB releases out to his side.

Some teams will put the will linebacker in a 7 tech and bring the corner in as the LB. This gives you alot of speed at the LB position. It also gives you one of your better players at the 7 tech.
hmm...very, very interesting. I hadn't thought of caveman's 3rd option or newguys'. All great ideas. Just depends on individual situations I suppose. Thanks!
