Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Has anyone faced the A11 offense? What are your thoughts on defending it? In a nutshell, this offense is based on a spread punt formation with only 3 lineman and then 3 or four players lined up right and left with a QB at least 7 yards deep. Usually there is a lot of shifting to insure the proper amount of men on the line of scrimmage. What type of front would you play? Coverage, etc...:confused;

As far as I know, only that one team in Northern California is running it and I think that you'd have to run 3-3 stack and play zone behind it. It would be impossible to man that scheme.
Come up with a system to determine who is eligible and who is in-eligible. What we are going to do if we see it is run a 3-2 and have our OLB's just call out who isn't eligible. Remember the end man is always eligible so its just figuring out between the other two guys. We will be in 2 deep and man under. If you want more information on how to defend the A-11 call Marlon Blanton of St. Patrick/St. Vincent High School in Vallejo, CA.
I wish that was the case, but unfortunately we have a team in our conference attempting to run it this fall. Too many receivers to count, I was thinking of playing zone with lots of pressure on the QB.
