It makes NO DIFFERENCE what defense the defense lines up in!

You are either "COVERED", or, "UNCOVERED". Simply follow these rules (SIMPLE):

TEACH “COVERED/UNCOVERED” (TO DETERMINES WHO ZONE BLOCKS
AND WHO MAN BLOCKS).

A. IF YOU ARE UNCOVERED – ZONE WITH YOUR PLAYSIDE TEAMMATE.
B. IF YOU ARE COVERED – ZONE WITH YOUR BACKSIDE TEAMMATE (UNLESS HE IS COVERED THEN YOU MUST MAN BLOCK).
NOTE: IF YOUR MAN IS STACKED IN A “TANDEM” – ZONE WITH TEAMMATE WHOSE MAN IS ALSO STACKED.

We use Onebacks count method, and tell them that if your numbered man is a linebacker then you zone with your playside teammate.

With covered and uncovered what do you do against the bear front??? With a shade on the backside of the center and running outside zone do you block the shade or go to LB??? You are covered correct???
