Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
We would align in what we call 44 Tight, by "loading" both our tightside (Tiger) and openside inverts/spurs (Whip) in a 1x1 off the TE, giving us a 5-3 look. We might also throw a Bear (33) look at them by walking our Lou and Rob backers up as 7 techniques on their respective sides. ILB depth against a zone blocking team would be at 4 yards.

We would run our normal stack with the spurs walked up in 9s and a 404 across the front we slant and stunt every play and we would continue to do that to try to disrupt the blocking scheme. it ens up looking like a 5-3 and the responsibilities dont change

I think this is one of the toughest formations to defend. You backers have to play very sound football. We've played Cover 1 before but that's not great. You wind up in a 5-3 look anyway you slice it.
I agree with coast union. This formation is a hornets nest. I have had recent success going to a sink front. The best way to discribe it is a double bear.
nose -0
tackle/end -3
sam/ will -7
joker / hero -9
Mike -10
We play cover 1 and vary pressures based on scouting reports. I can provide more info if you need it.
