Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Well guys, I'm stumped...we're 2-3 and we've been desecrated by injuries at every position...I'm not sure whether we should try to run our spread with less talented players, or attempt to install something new mid season with less that average intelligent guys...I'm just not sure...what do you guys think...and if you do think its time to go back to the drawing board, what type of offense would you attempt...our line averages 230 lbs...good backs...2 good recievers...and a young fast QB who's only problem is maturity and height...Thanks for your imput...
IT IS NEVER ADVISABLE TO CHANGE OFFENSES IN MIDSTREAM, PERIOD. STICK WITH WHAT YOUR DOING AND RIDE IT OUT, IT IS TOO HARD ON THE KIDS TO DO AN ABOUT FACE IN MIDSEASON.

I wouldn't change. i think you can take advantage of a lot of defenses with the spread even if you don't have better athletes. Also, changing halfway will cause a lot of confusion and might have the kids lose confidenc ein what you are doing.
I too think that changing everything is too hard for the kids. You may be able to throw in some wrinkles, but if you started with a spread philosophy, keep it. Your reserves will learn the positions and it will get better. Who knows, you may be surprised.

There is nothing that will show a man's true character like the 2 yard line.
"CHANGE" is a dirty word in football. IF you play with more INTENSITY than your opponent, & OUT-EXECUTE him - you will win (UNLESS you have "HUMPTY DUMPTY playing against "DICK BUTKUS")!
REMEMBER WHAT THE COLTS "OC" TOM MOORE SAID DURING THE SUPER BOWL SEASON 2 YEARS AGO:
TOM MOORE OFFENSIVE THINKING
1. “LESS IS BETTER”!
2. “IF THINGS ARE GOING BAD – REDUCE. GET BETTER AT WHAT YOU DO BEST”!
3. “DON’T ADD OR CHANGE THINGS (IF IT WAS THAT GOOD – WE WOULD HAVE PUT IT IN DURING AUGUST”)!
