Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Thanks for the earlier help. We beat one of the top AAA schools in our region last week.
We play a team that runs alot of ace formation, a TE on one side with a flanker, and a slot (or wing) with a splitend on the other side.
They will motion the slot to the TE side and run countertrap to the TE side. They also motion the slot to the Tightend and run countertrap away from the TE side.
We are a base 3-5 team and we almost always run cover 0. No cover 3.
If you can see tendancies on when and who they are going to pull, reduce your DE's with to that man and get him on the pulling man's hip. Also make sure your LB's are reading through the line, not over it. They have to see that pulling lineman. I think I'd play it almost like a 5-3, eagled down on the G--especially away from the DE (assuming your wing is toward the TE).

There is nothing that will show a man's true character like the 2 yard line.
