Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Will the timing be ok in this formation(gun), if when we run IZ...the FB crosses the face of the QB to seal end, with the TB crossing after the FB to run IZ? I worry it will take too long, but am not sure.
Our program is making the transition from a Wing T club and I would like this to be our base formation. It would be nice be able to run IZ with the backside end sealed.
I also plan on running Counter, Iso, OZ, and Speed Option. Are all these plays feasable or am I pushing it?
If it is too slow as you describe, run it to the FB (direct snap or QB turns to give it to him) and have the TB go right for the BSDE.
Another way is to run it to the HB and have the QB and FB run option paths to the back-side. That should keep the DE honest. If it doesn't, run option at him off that action.

Chambo instead of the backside back filling on the backside end have him come from behind the QB and attach the speed option to the inside run you are talking about and allow the QB to read the backside end. Coach Campbell
