Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I looked around for this formation and their rules, and rhyme to reason and finding nothing. What I can see are a few things. 1. 3 man release for fake/Fire. 2. longer route to ball from Unbalanced side. 3. tougher to get around wings.
I've used this formation quite a bit and I love it. It makes very long paths to the kicker off the edges. also, the fakes available are great. I first saw this formation from Air Force several years ago. Rules I use are basically the same as a "traditional" formation. I have the wings align thier inside feet in line with the outside feet of the man to thier inside and drop thier outside foot back. Always protect your inside gap, make yourself wide, and make everyone shed to the outside. Your TE and Inside Wing are the keys to the protection.

There is nothing that will show a man's true character like the 2 yard line.
