The Section 9 Coaches association is hosting its fifth annual coaches clinic.
We are very fortunate that this year's clinic is going to feature Coach Mountjoy (one back) as one of our main speakers. In addition, we will have Coach John Loose from Lafayette, Coach Wayne Bradford from Edinboro university, Coach Rumsey from Marist College, Coach St Lawrence from CDFL, Coach Eric Ramsey from Albany U and other college coaches to be added. We will also have high school coaches who won this years championship including a speaker from the perenial powerhouse Monroe Woodbury ( AA state champ and three time AA state runner up) and the 2008 Section 9 Coach of the Year winner Coach Wright (Karjaw) of Pine Bush High school

I just wanted to let you know that we at over 120 coaches who will be in attendance at this clinic this Saturday. We are very fortunate to have Oneback speaking at the clinic and I will be doing a private Hybrid Wing Clinic for a select group of 40 coaches. If you want more information about the clinic feel free to email me at jwright@pinebushschools.org the only thing that I ask is that if you want to be a part of the Hybrid Wing stuff you need to be invited, so we need to have a conversation prior to you being allowed to attend. The other clinic that is going on in addition to the hybrid is the following information:

I would like to inform you on our Annual Coaches clinic. Please make a note of both the date and cost for the clinic. It is important that you get back to me and let me know how many coaches you are bringing to the clinic. This clinic supports our coaches association and your participation is very much needed to keep it a success. All of the money that comes from the your clinic fee goes towards the association. The lunch, t-shirt, and portofolio is made available to us by Anaconda Sports.

SPEAKERS:
BILL MOUNTJOY-- VIRGINIA COACHING LEGEND **Has 33 years of High School football coaching in Virginia – most of it as Head Football Coach at 6 different High Schools (including 6A state power Deep Creek HS in Chesapeake, Va, from 1982 thru 1986).
**Four of his former High School players played in the NFL, including “Parade All-American” James Farrior (2005 All-Pro Lber with the Steelers), AND “Parade All-American” Darren Perry (9 year starter at Free Safety for the Steelers, & now the Steelers’ Secondary Coach).
**Won the 1971 VAAC Private School State Championship at Huguenot Academy.
**Coached 4 years on the college level (including Passing Game Coordinator at CIAA Div. II Virginia Union University in 1995 & 1996).
**Coached 1 year of Semi-Pro football with the Richmond Ravens. During the 1987 strike – the team sent 9 players to the Redskins (including starting QB Tony Robinson) – who helped the Skins go 4-0 during the strike – including a win over the Cowboys’ regulars!
**Currently serving as a consultant to Powhatan High School (2003 Virginia 4A State Champions & 2005 4A State runner-up); Meadowbrook High School (2004 Virginia 5A State Champions); Matoaca High School (2005 Virginia 5A State Semi-Finalist); and Holy Spirit High School (2007 N.J. State Champions). Also serves as offensive consultant to CIAA Div. II St Pauls’ College, in Virginia.
**Coach Bill Mountjoy is a Life Member of the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), and has authored articles on football for Scholastic Coach, Texas Coach, Coach & Athlete, Gridiron Strategies, etc. He has spoken at many Clinics, including the 2006 & 2007 Mega Clinics.
JOHN LOOSE- DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR FOR DIVISION ONE LAFAYETTE COLLEGE.**Eighth season as Lafayette's defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach.
**Loose coached the top-ranked defense in the country in 2007.
**In 2006, Loose guided a defensive that was the best in the conference at stopping the run, allowing just 139 yards per game on the ground.
**In 2005, the Leopards were ranked among the top 20 teams in the nation in five categories, including ninth in scoring defense (17.0 ppg) and 11th in total defense (296.9 ypg).
**The Leopards' defense stepped up in the 2004 Patriot League championship run, holding the league opposition to 15.2 points and 103.7 rushing yards per game to lead the league in both categories.
**Loose spent eight years at West Point after arriving in 1992. He spent two seasons assisting with Army's defensive secondary and linebacker positions.
**Loose spent three seasons at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy as an assistant, serving as both defensive coordinator and defensive secondary coach under head coach Tom Bell.
BERNIE CONNOLLY- DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR FOR MONROE WOODBURY ** Won NYS AA state championship in 2005
** State AA runner-up 2006, 2007, and 2008.
**He has been a clinic speaker for: NYS Annual Coaches clinic in Turning Stone NY, Glazier Clinic and a popular clinician for the Section 9 Coaches Clinic.
George St. Lawrence- CEO of College Development Football League**Coach Saint began his football coaching career in 1981 at Warwick High School. A varsity defensive coordinator for 12 seasons followed by 4 seasons as head coach the Wildcats 1981-1996.
**In 1992, he served as Defensive coordinator as the wildcats attained a 10-1 record and a New York State Intersectional Championship.
**In 1997 coach “Saint” entered the coaching ranks of semi-pro football, handling defensive coordinator and head coach roles, in two stints for the National ranked, Orange County Bulldogs.
**In 1998 the Bulldogs capped a 16-0 season culminating in a Garden State Football League Championship.
**In the 2004 Season the Bulldogs were Empire Football League divisional champs with a 12-2 record , Coach St Lawrence was named empire Football League” Coach Of The Year” in 2004.
**George St. Lawrence was a founding member of the New York State Football Coaches Association in 1992.
**He is the author of,” 5 ways to a Football Shutout, published in 1993, and “The History of Warwick Football” Published in 1996. His most recent book “The Guide for Student -Athletes in the College Recruiting Process“. Will be available in November 2008.
**George St. Lawrence served as an assistant coach for the victorious New York High School All-star team in the 2004 Governors Bowl Game vs. New Jersey, 23-6.
**A member of the Warwick Football Hall Of Fame, he has served as Athletic Director at Warwick H.S. (1984-1989) Valley Central H.S. (1998-2006) and State football powerhouse, Monroe Woodbury H. S (2007-present) His mission to guide and motivate young football players, remains his passion, as evidenced in his continuing efforts now, with the formation of the CDFL.

2008 Times Herald Record football coach of the year. We run Wes Elrod's Hybrid Wing offense. I have been running it now for 5 years averaging over 2700yds of offense a year in a 9 game season. We will be covering the entire offense at this clinic.
