Can anyone recommend a good 3-4 Book?

The defense ORIGINATED at Oklahoma in the 1950's with Bud Wilkinson. It was originally a variation of his "Wide Tackle Six" and was actually an "OVERSHIFTED SIX".

You can STILL buy Bud's book ("MODERN DEFENSIVE FOOTBALL") on "ABEBOOKS.COM"

IMO - it is still the best book written on the defense (even tho it's 50 years old) because it is by the man who ORIGINATED the defense, & won 47 straight games (& 3 National Championships) with it.

It is a great STARTING place for anyone who wants to understand the defense! I played in that defense in HS & College, & later COACHED it from 1960 thru 1984 (when we changed to a 4-2-5 in 1985). If you want to discuss this - PHONE me at 804-378-0116 (up to 10 PM/EDT).
