Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
We run the 30 stack and wanted to get some input on some various coverage to play against trips. when we see trips we typically play cover 3 or cover 1. We just wanted to know what some other guys do and maybe change things up a bit.
When I've gone against Trips, usually my first adjustment is to roll the FS toward the trips (however far you are comfortable with) and play C-3 to that side of the field and with LB's. The backside is pretty much man-to-man. Another option backside out of the 33 stack...you may be able to work the back side as a C-2, with the athletic ability, if you kick out the spur to a safety position with the CB underneath, or move the CB back to a deep alignment and use the spur to beat the daylights out of the WR as he comes of the line and then release him to the CB deep--spur now plays flats as a C-2 CB.

There is nothing that will show a man's true character like the 2 yard line.
to the side of trips.....free safety deep inside 1/4......corner deep outside 1/4.......outside spur flat align splitting difference of #2 and #3.......Sam hook/curl
backside corner man up #1........backside spur looks for back out of backfield if he blocks green light to attack QB........mike and will has green light to blitz
the KEY!!!!!........backside corner must be the man and can live on the island alone......dangerous but fun

We run a cover 3 match zone that I picked up last summer and we have had a lot of luck with it. it covers all formations and I have found few options that it doesnt cover.
I have a powerpoint with it email me at: Eagle_d_coach@yahoo.com
