Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
In an earlier post concerning run plays you "take" into each game, I saw a reference to 32-33 Swing, a split-flow toss play. I have several of your manuals (I-Backs, Option, One-Back). We are an multiple two-back team that occasionally goes one-back. I would be interested in further discussing 32-33 Swing. Is it a counter option or just simply a predetermined toss by the QB? I would be interested in the blocking -vs- Over, 50, and 4-3.
Thank you for being such a good resource for high school football coaches and providing this forum. At clinics we often learn what colleges are doing, but it also nice to learn from other high school coaches.
Triplethreat - thanks for the nice comments its always a pleasure for me besides a learning resource with our forums. The swing play comes off of the belly action of the quarterback and takes advantage of an over aggressive backside end and invert who wants to be involved with run away from them. This action puts the fullabck running a belly path towards the tight end and the tailback going the opposite direction. As the quarterback reverses out ask if to run belly the taliback swings towards the opendside and the quarterback comes off the reverse out and pitches him the ball. This play will force defenses to stayt home backside. Coach CAmpbell
Weakside invert can be removed by formation or take advantage of his over active play inside, good play vs the 4-3 scheme with no invert weak also. Coach CAmpbell
