Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I was recently hired at a school with an active and sometimes overly involved booster club. My hire has already caused some grumblings with some parents. I have a parent meeting this week. Any suggestions on how to handle this meeting so I can start the process of winning them over?
I had a good friend who took over a program for a very popular coach who had some success. He made very little waves the first year. There was some assistants who were hold-overs that were a pain, along with much of the booster club. He cleaned house in his second year. Everything ran more smoothly. The team went from 1-7 to 6-2 with a conference championship. I always like the idea of "Walk softly, but carry a big stick." If you have the support of the administration, don't be afraid to fire people, so to speak. If they are not supporting the program and its coaches, they are hindering the program. You can't do much about parents, but I'd limit involvement of those who are causing problems however you can.

There is nothing that will show a man's true character like the 2 yard line.
Along the same lines as Coach Kelly, I think the main thing to accomplish is that your goals and plan for your program are clearly stated to everyone involved. Make sure they understand what is expected of them in order to participate in your program and what will not be tolerated. Your booster club parents will certainly want to develop equity in your program and that's a good thing, provided everyone understands where you're headed and how you're going to get there.
Best of luck Coach!
