QB Alignment Depth

I've seen everything from 2 1/2 up to 4 yards and was curious at to what seems most common. Do you vary his depth at all and if so, why and when? Thanks, Dave Hartman CYFL Coach

Coach we are a shotgun team and will be adding some pistol to our offense. I really think 4 yards is the answer as far as depth for both offenses if you are a primarily a running team. The University of Nevada would be a good source for you to contact regarding what they think.
