This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
You know that I run a similiar G front to you and I am planning on running Man/Free this year. I was looking over my notes (from here that I copy and paste from good topics) and someone said that they got a good ODP from you vs two backs, when teams want to run power. Just curious how you line it up and how with your personal.
Okie Dog Pinch was vs. THREE BACK teams. Wishbone, Full-T, Stacked I, Power-I, ETC.
Vs. TWO BACKS - we just run our BASE 4-2-5 with "F/S ROBBER" - giving us "9 in the box" vs. 1 TE teams (with 1 TE), & "10 in the box" vs. 2 TE teams (with 2 backs).

G Cover 1 v 1 back (mix some Cover 2 in too) I do love Bill's Robber adjustments but we had too much confusion with 2x2 and it took a lot of practice against 3x1's so we just make the check to Cov 1.
ODP v 3 backs
ODP crushes 3 back power stuff!!!!! Bill does a nice job explaining it too.
We ran it as our base d all year. I know you probably aren't supposed to, but we did well against most fronts with it, obviously you need to have some basic rules in place, but we were actually pretty successful with it. I am sure that any number of coaches could rip it apart on paper, but in our league, with our kids and our specific situation, it was a pretty tough d, the only thing that really hurt us early was screens and passes to the TE, it was more kids screwing up assignments than any fault inherent to the defense.
Vs. 2 Backs: Vs. a Pro Set with TE to wide field,m you CAN run it to the wideside & play base technique on the other side (from Center back). Still have to play Cover 0 but man coming off edge to wide field can put a LOT of pressure on QB.
