Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I'd like to hear how you teach this pass protection. How far to the frontside do the lineman reach prior to the hinge and what the points are for the lineman. In a single back set with no TE, does the back have EMOL?

Matt with my sprintout protection I use a full reach by the offensive tackle on the defensive end. The offensive tackle will use a dropstep with his playside foot while trying to bring his backside arm through the playside number. The quarterback reads the tackles block if the defensive end stretches then the quarterback pulls up inside the stretch, if the tackle can reach the defensive end then the quarterback continues outside. The running back is reponsible for the playside linebacker with some help from his guard. Coach CAmpbell
Coach - thanks for your response. When you do this does the entire OL have the same rule as the playside tackle or do you mix schemes (area / man) with this?

Coach you're entire offensive line would step reach the playside and then hinge back if they come uncovered, any uncovered lineman would kick out to check if any pressure was coming off the back edge. Coach CAmpbell
