Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I am planning on having 18" splits and the G-T placing thier hands on the Center's heels. Now I know we do not cover the X and the Z here (I have not seen any talk about them) but I need to know something. If we get that much depth off the ball (will the refs call this?) and the X is split wide left does he line up even with the Center or the LT?
Conversely, the Z is off the LOS because he covers the TE who is on the LOS even with the RT. Is this depth for the Z kosher?
Thanks for your time.
Peace.

If the coach you are going against knows what he is doing, he'll be in the ref's ear and will eventually get it called. We've done this before, and completely threw off the offense's rhythm. They had to think about something else on the field. The rules say you need linemen heads even with the belt of the center. Some refs will let it go, but I, personally, wouldn't count on it.

There is nothing that will show a man's true character like the 2 yard line.
It was my hope to get more reaction time for my 7/8 graders to get that second foot down. The refs we work with are pretty spot on and if you say that is pushing the limits then they would warn me first then call me for it.
I will tighten it up to helmet to belt then. Thanks for the reply.
Peace.
