Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom

That will depend on what the OG is doing. If the OG pulls away from center (fold scheme) we need to try and cross the face of the OT or dip and rip behind him (depending on his angle). If it is a combo (deuce) scheme, we need to work are hips into the hole and keep our hands on the OG so if the OT tries to get to the LB, the OG cannot overtake the 3 tech.

What is the guard doing? The attack point of the 3 tech is the near hip of the guard....If the guard is veer releasing, the 3 should close off of his hip...This gets him away from the veer release of the tackle....If he gets a double(base by guard -down by tackle), we Teach him to work across the face of the tackle(we align 18in off the ball)...We tell our kids that the point of attack on any double team is out side(away from the ball).
