Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
One area high school program runs option game out of the double slot (aka Paul Johnson's offense at Georgia Tech), but their youth guys tend to run mostly double tight I form and some wishbone/flexbone.

Ever since the first time I faced a double wing team (which our team got dominated); no team I have coached has given up a TD in over 8 games of going against it. I fully acknowledge that athletes make a scheme work, but I have found it relatively easy to bottle up.
Any offense that maximizes its players' abilities can be difficult to defend, and the Double Wing is certainly no exception. I've never faced what I would call a "true" DW offense, but would definitely consider it a challenge to defend when executed well.

Coach Hartman indeed have to prepare for Coah Murphy's Double Wing each season now certainly poses a problem. Your team must get physical vs this offense. Coach Campbell
In 17 years, I've faced the DW probalby 40-50 times - I've never compiled the stats, but I would guess my record against DW is probably between 35-5 and 45-5. A well coached DW team that executes well is tough to beat. Fortunately, those teams are few and far between - the vast majority of DW teams are coached by daddys that bought a book or are doing it from memory from their youth/hs days. Either way, those DW teams tend to be disorganized, unprepared and generally not a major problem to defeat. Just like any other offense, proper execution and fundamentals make this a difficult offense to stop - without those, it's a mess that is relatively easy to defeat. When it's well run, though, it's a thing of beauty (unless you happen to be on the opposing sideline, LOL).
