You'd think after coaching for a decade in 4 different programs, and seeing teams from all over that I'd be able to skip the severe knot in my stomach before the first game of the season. It is never as bad later in the year, but all the unknowns just does a number on my nerves. Good luck to all coaches in the start of your season!

I've been told that the day you don't experience that "knot" or "butterflies" of some kind, is the day to start doing something else!
