Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
how do you guys defend the weakside option, or zone when the offense has 3 wide on one side and a wideout on the other?? we play mostly catch man and man free coverage
Triple is going to be much different than speed. I am assuming from your post that they are running speed toward twins away from a TE and a SE. At any rate, the SS/OLB needs to sneak a peak into the backfield and fight through blocks to get in on the pitch.

There is nothing that will show a man's true character like the 2 yard line.
He needs to explain exactly WHICH option. He said away from 3 receiver side towards a SE. That's what FLEXBONE TRIPLE teams do - motion Slot to SE side & run TRIPLE. Unless we know which option they run - suggestions can do no good.
I'm sorry, I should've been more clear. I was talking about the speed option to the one receiver side from the spread with 3 wideouts on one side and one wideout to the other w/ no TE on either side.
In a 4-2-5 - the DE has QB & the OLB has pitch. ILB works out FROM QB to pitch (overlaps). F/S in Cover 1 (which WE play) can give good run support in alley.
