Tired of our current system, their horrible quality control, their shipping, and their poor performance the past 5 years we have owned them
Spent well over a grand-grand and a half 5 years ago. 4 headsets. 2 for the box, 2 for the sideline we are all on the same mic. No D/O switchover or other snazzy things you all probably have. We send them back to be reconditioned as the company says EVERY year. Every year we have to send them back during the season because something goes wrong with them. Not by abuse either. "Board went bad" is the typical.
Also.... there is no automatic shutoff when charging like a camcorder has. If you over charge they will burn out. If you undercharge you get 1/2 a game. They have to be charged 12 hours not to exceed 16 EVERY game. Then they barely make it through each game. Remember... we send them back for reconditioning every year, spend a fortune on it, then they crap out.
We had a problem on time because we charged them and our game got bumped to the next night. Thinking they would hold the charge we did not charge them again. They make it to the end of the first quarter and died.
Our system is a "Name Brand", they are wireless and no buttons to push. The ones we have are a joke. PLUS.... HERE in South East Pennsylvania, they seem to be the "Headset" of choice. Its all I see.
We are supposed to get free shipping TO the factory. When we sent them last week, we got a call that we are being charged an additional 70 dollars because we sent everything, not just the broken headset. Look.... I am a football coach, I have no idea which died. They all went.
Thats another thing... if one goes... they all go.
There are just too many "little things" with these things. Way, way, way too many things when we factor how much money we spent for the initial charge PLUS the $300 a year to recondition, plus parts and labor EVERY year because they crap out. We probalbly have 4k into these things over the past 5 years.
Now... their quality control has gone down the toilet. When we were told about the additional fees for shipping, we attempted to explain how we have no idea what was bad, they scoffed at us, told us we have to pay anyway, pay more attention, etc.... We were spoken to as some teenage punk.
There has to be a complany that makes a reliable wireless, buttonless system that it tough as nails, easy setup, easy charging, etc.... and has better quality control.
We will not give another dollar to this company and will sell what we have or trade them in if another company would take them.
What are the headsets you all are using and how about durability, quality, and support. If you can give me some ballpark prices in what you paid I would appreciate it to.
We DO NOT want anything fancy. Just 4 heasets all on the same channel, no pushbuttons.
Thanks,
Jeff
