Player Evaluation

Please hit me up if you can explain this method.

I know this: you rate certain plays (tackle, TFL, pressure, sack, caused fumble, penetration in the backfield, taking up two blockers, etc.) as factor plays. You set it up in a fraction form like this: # of factor plays/# of total plays. The product of this would be the player's factor grade. I just can't remember what the gold standard number is.

Sounds like a good system if you have the time to give for all the film watching. Most coaches who I know that actually keep player rating data use the simplest thing they can get their hands on.
