Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
How do you guys that bring 5 and have 3 deep and 3 under secondary hold up against 4 vertical routes. Is it a matter of just re-routing or do you have one side match up man free and then other side play cover 3?
It is a matter of rerouting receivers in addition to having the perimeter underneath guys run vertical if there is not threat to their shallow areas. When you do a good job of stopping 4 verticals, the next thing to come is hitch/corner.
The DC at Idaho state, Joe Cullen has some awesome stuff on this. It is a third down pass defense. Some very cool stuff. The key is to make sure you are getting pressure!

There is nothing that will show a man's true character like the 2 yard line.

Were can I find this stuff?? Is there a video or book or should I just try and call him?
I caught a webinar that he put on through the glazier clinics. It was good stuff. I think he's doing another next week on 43 techniques and drills. He'll have his contact info there. I don't have it with me right now. Otherwise, I think he's the DC at Idaho State. I'm sure you can find it on their website. Lots of zone blitz stuff, but more than that, I was very interested in how he described the responsibility of the underneath 3 finding their initial responsibility, but then a certain man is eyeing to find backs attacking the flat. I'll try to find his info, but if you find the thread on the Glazier webinars in this forum, you can register for his session next week. They're free, and there's some excellent info in the ones I've logged in for.

when playing 3 under 3 deep, your seam to curl to flat (scf) players play the vertical first. i also like cb's to play a divider tech between #1 and #2 so that he is a factor on the throw to #2 along with the FS. QB's will hardly ever throw the ball to #1 vs a cover 3 look with 4 verticals, so cb's can favor #2. As long as #2 is vertical, scf player stays on him and breaks late on everything else.
