Just looking to start a thread on change-ups and how you move into them. Personnel changes needed and what situations you use your changeups?
Being and even, 8-man front, we use our change up defense against Spreads and empties and 3rd and forevers and end of half/game.
We move from our 425 to an odd 34/33 depending on the call being Robber or Cover 1
Here's how we do it with our base no adjustments vs spread, no bastard alignments duw to gameplanning, etc... plain old BASE.
Pull the T (Tackle) out and insert the N (nickle). Nickle plays RIGHT Half field in Cover 2 and #3 rec to the RIGHT side of the field in Cover 3 or Cover 1. All of the formations are drawn with LEFT being where the reveivers are. B and N are idendical in our OKIE package. If B is down on the TE in a closed Trips left formation, N would be down if it was Closed Trips Right.
I DELEATED THE COVER 2 BECAUSE WE HARDLY USE IT. I JUST WANT TO SHOW HOW EASY WE MOVE INTO IT.
