Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
What footwork are you looking for your QB to execute when utilizing the point method. I had a lot of problems with fumbles last year with the ride and decide.
I'm not an expert on it...a former coach on here Jerry Easton (Tiger One) used to know/teach this method. If you search on the site for him, you might find something. My understanding on it is this--the QB points his shoulders (or the ball, I guess) toward his read. He should know immediately what he is doing with the ball--give if he sees the numbers, don't give if he does not. There is no mesh at all. RB and QB run their tracks. RB knows he's getting the ball if there is a mesh, the QB keeps the ball in his belly if there is no hand-off, and his feet keep moving. Trick is that you attack the read in the hole, not as you enter the hole.

There is nothing that will show a man's true character like the 2 yard line.
