I'm looking for some advice on LB's. I've studied Jerry Sandusky and Ron Vanderlinden from PSU. Is there anything any of you do that you feel is unique to you? I know the basic drills and play, but i'm looking for some advice and material. Like i said i'd love to hear from any coaches willing to offer any help. Thank you.
It doesn't matter how much you know, until they know how much you care.
The one "little thing" i'm always stressing with my linebackers is to know where their feet are. I make sure that the feet are 90 degrees from the LOS, heels and toes in line and underneath them. I don't want "paddle footed" linebackers, if that makes any sense.

There is nothing that will show a man's true character like the 2 yard line.
Thank you coaches. I appreciate the advice. We start spring ball on Monday & I have 15 min for Indy time with an emphasis on pass defense first & than 40 min later I have 15 min. of Indy time again focusing on the run. I was wondering how should I use the 15 minutes in each session. I'm leaning towards you using my teaching progression beginning with stance than moving to keys and than responsibilities.
What would you do in my situation and how would make the most of the two 15 minute sessions?
