Got a minute guys? OK... Flexbone is the formation. Here is the blocking system that I learned. Between the C and PSG, they each have 2 possible calls to make
The Center could call out either a 0 or a 1. If the C calls out "0", that means the C has a man on him that he can handle himself and lets the PSG know he goes to next level. Or... the C can call out "1" which tells the PSG that he has a man on him shaded playside or a slanter and calls for a doubleteam by the C and PSG and then the T goes to the next level.
The next calls are yelled out by the PSG. He either yells out "2" or "3". 2 tells the Center that the PSG has a man on him head up to inside shade and calls for the C to double with the PSG. Tackle next level. The PSG will yell out "3" alerting the PST that he has a man in the B Gap and calls for a doubleteam by the PSG and PST on that B Gap defender(3 tech or 4i).
The Fullbacks aiming point is the buttcrack of the PSG. This is some type of Veer. What kind? The idea is to protect the mesh with a doubleteam in front of it.
PLEASE REPLY!!!!!!! IM DUMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's either a blocking scheme that the coach is calling "give" or "pull" or it is a "check with me" system. You would never double team a B-gap defender for inside veer--I usually wouldn't even run inside veer at a 3 technique. The 1 and 2 calls would be common for inside veer. the 3 call would only be used for midline or for outside veer.

There is nothing that will show a man's true character like the 2 yard line.

Indeed it is inside veer. When I coached at Texas A&M Kingsville we used a number system for the inside veer but now it Ace, Duece, Trey when in a combo. And yes inside veer to a 3 tech. is worse case scenerio in which you teach the fullback to cut backside of the three tech thats the reason we instralled the midline.. Coach Campbell
In my opinion the line calls are helpful but they only give the OL and idea of what the defender might do. For example, if the PSG yells "2" and the tackle goes to the LB and the 2 slants into the B gap then the B gap is not sealed. We teach the tackle to block B gap defender to linebacker so he would step to the hip of the 2/3 tech and if his #'s do not show then he can go to the next level - we tell him if there is any doubt make sure he secures the B gap down lineman first before he worries about getting to the PSLB. Obviously, if the tackle gets a good punch and caves the 2/3 tech down or if the 2/3 tech pinches inside then he can come off to the LB. We tell the PSG and PST that they are ultimately responsible for the 2/3 tech and the PSLB to create a crease for the FB to run outside the butt of the PST.
The same exact rules would apply for the center and PSG if the PSG were uncovered. This is how we would block the ISV - Hope it helps!
Should you scrap the system, not necessarily. Coach what you know, and tweak what you need. Just make sure you know what you are trying to get your kids to do. If you are going to call give or keep, you can get by with that, but, in my opinion, the offense is not as effective. I sent you a message with my phone number, if you have any questions, feel free to use it.
