Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
We have fiddled with a 52 and a 53 this off-season and and are coming to realize that we really don't have any good LBs. Our kids in general do not have alot of football instinct but, add in the lack of speed and we are in trouble at that position. We have moved every athlete there and moved around positions but, we cannot find any true ones...
With that said can you recommend a defense or philosophy with that in mind?
Coach...I've been there. My advice is to find a 5 front or even a 6 front that gets your best group of players on the field. If you have DB's that can't/won't step up against the run, then make sure they can cover so that the other players can focus on the run game. Even if you don't have any "true" linebackers, find a couple, at least, that you can put out there. Personally, I don't think you can get by without someone in that 2nd level.

There is nothing that will show a man's true character like the 2 yard line.
